Just curious what the symptoms are for early pregnancy.

First day of last period was May 9th. I've had sex almost every single day since... (Ovulation estimated around 20th)

This past weekend I just felt uncomfortable, bloated, pre-menstrual feelings, which I have never experienced while off my period. I thought, maybe it was just a little anxiety. I'm not supposed to get my period till June 3rd.

I took a preg. test this morning and it was negative... but obviously that was way too early. I guess I was just too curious...

What do you think?

A missed period is the most accurate pregnancy symptom. Other symptoms you might experience are also caused by PMS, gas, stress, and life in general, so going off symptoms isn't always the greatest idea.

Unfortunately, if you were experiencing symptoms that were truly being caused by your pregnancy, it would be because your system is flooded by pregnancy hormones. These are the same hormones that pregnancy tests detect. If you tested negative, the symptoms you're experiencing are not caused by a pregnancy. That's not to say you're not pregnant, only that what you're feeling isn't because of pregnancy.

I hope this has made sense. I also hope you get the result you're hoping for! With my first pregnancy I didn't test positive until the day I missed my period (I'd tested every day before that), so my suggestion is to wait until the day your period is due or wait until you've missed it. Seeing negatives is extremely depressing, and those tests can be expensive!

Good luck, and please keep us updated.
