Q: Two week period on pill ?

I've been on Tri Cyclen LO for 4 months. I've taken it at the right time everyday. I got my period a week early this cycle. Not only did i get it a week early, but it didn't stop until the day it usually stops when I'm not having this problem. I need to know how/ why this happened. Also, I'm wondering if there's something wrong that I should worry about.

Is this the first time you've done this? Um, I would say it is normal because it does take time for your body to get used to birth control. Sometimes when you get on the pill you may have longer periods every so often, and then sometimes you will have real short light periods I experienced this while on the pill. If you are concerned I would call your ob nurse to make you feel better. You need to worry when your not having periods.

Its break through bleeding-- its not heavy right?

Because its been longer than three months, you may want to scoot in and talk to your doctor. You may need to switch pills.
