Q: two periods in one month

i just started using Yasmin, i finished my first month and i got my period as i should during the sugar pills but it was sooner than it should have been if i hadn't started birth control. now i'm into my first week of the second pack and i got my period again after 5 days (when i should have had it if i wasn't on the pill)...is this normal when you're first starting birth control?
