I got a hit playing sport to the top of my chest last year and i played on and was fine, but the following day i was in difficulty breathing and moving , xrays showed up nothing and a massive lump is sticking out of the front of my chest under the sternum , i still get small breathing pains and the doctor told me nothing can be done with it , this year im back playing again and nearly the exact same thing has happened again. i got another hit in a match and i went to my doc with breathing pain with another lump from a hit has come out just underneath that one, he gimme diplofenac sodium daily and said i could still play , 3 weeks on now im back playing and have two big lumps on the right hand side of my chest ,all my team-mates laugh about it . when training i had to pull out of high intensity running because i get too caught up and have back pain on my right hand side too , can anybody help me with what am i to do, my chest doesn't feel right inside or out

Hello, and thank you for your medical question on e Health Forum.

From the description provided it seems that you have developed multiple contusions or hematomas in the chest wall.

Usually a hematoma that has formed a lump will take some time for proper healing and complete resolution of the lump, which might take upto 2-3 weeks.

You might take a break from heavy intensity contact sports during this time period, so as to allow proper healing.

The next time, you do get involved in such sports you might wear proper protective gear so as to avoid further such injuries

You might consult a physiotherapist or a orthopedic doctor if you have any doubts ir questions.

I hope this helps.
