More than two-thirds of patients diagnosed with stomach cancer have unresectable disease.
Chemotherapy is the most effective therapy in order to prolong median survival and increase quality of life.
Median survival of patients with metastatic disease remains between 6 and 9 months.

Is he receiving some combination of cytotoxic agents as chemotherapy?

my friend had stomach cancer as well, she lived for 6 months it was too late the tumor grew every where in the stomach. She found out last minute and got a surgery, the doctors removed the inside of her stomach then i think they replaced it with a bag then sewed her back up. 2-3 days later she was in pain so they had to re-open her up but it was too late she had an infection, she passed away soon after.
