help i have been trying with my fiance for a baby for 9 months also 9 moonths with a previous partner too i have 3 teens from fist marriage.

i have been to the doctor and said its secondary infertility. im 42 ive been tested my blood thyroid progesterone andoetrogen levels are normal i am regular every month and i am ovualating yet i cannotget pregnant. Is there a reason for this other than myy age? i had chlamidia last yr but had treatment im clean now. I just wondered if it was possiblle i had blocked tubes is there anyway to find out? ii havcent been referred to the hospital. we are both healthy. i have no pain.any advice?

Was it confirmed that you are ovulating every month? Age can be a reason and yes it is possible that chlamydia might have done damage to your tubes. It depends on how long you had the chlamydia without being treated. Doctors can examine for damage to the tubes but if your doc doesn't want to then go other doctor. I would go to a fertility specialist in your case. My aunt got pregnant with my cousin at your age and from talking to her she told me that she had been trying for a few years. She had no other problems aside her age. It's just more difficult at your age. Just remember to take folic acid suplements.
