I was diagnosed year 2001 that i had a PTB,my medication was took 9 months before it cured,i always get this problem when i always have and x-ray result,scars is always seen on x-ray,the worst ever happen in my life was when i got i job on dubai,because we are direct hired,we has no agency on the Philippines,the medical was made on dubai health care,and the result was,they seen that i had old TB,so even i had my medical certificate came from my doctor,they didn't accept that.my question is, before i go to dubai my doctor give me a SALBUTAMOL,she said i will take this before i sleep,but the medication will took for 6months up to 1 year for the scar to removed,she said hopefully it will works..do you think it will work,or i should take any medicine to removed the scar?

Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

A scar shows healing from tuberculosis. I am sorry, but this will remain. Nothing can remove this. Also this should normally not disqualify you from getting any job as you do not have any infection. Hope this helps. Take care!
