TTC after 2 miscarriages.

I had 2 miscarriages this year. One in Feb and one in April. After my m/c in April I went back on the Pill. My DH and I would like to start TTC again, but we are afraid that I will miscarry again. I was told once before that there are certain supositories that you can insert into your vagina and it will help you to carry a baby to full term and deliver. My Questions are:

What is the name of the supository?
What are my chances of carrying this child to full term?

Thank you! g2r

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but women who experience preterm births, are administered progesterone therapy beginning at 16–20 weeks of gestation in order to prevent another preterm birth.

I've only seen reference of vaginal suppositories as conception aids in helping to determine the gender of the baby. Where did you hear about vaginal suppository as an aid to conceiving?

When I was at my Ob-gyn's office, I had to go to the Lab for them to do some blood work, and the lady who drew my blood told me about it. I'm going to make an appointment on Monday to go in as soon as I can to talk to my Dr.

Thanks for replying

Yes, illustriously fickle, I will let you know the name of it as soon as I find out what it is. I called and I can't get an appt to see him until Oct. 1, so hopefully I will know something then.

prometrium
I took Prometrium which is a progesterone supplement for the first 12 weeks 500mg vaginally. I had 2 previous miscarriages and now I am 36 weeks pregnant. My Dr. also had me taking baby aspirin or adult low dose baby aspirin 81mg for the first 12 weeks. I wish you all the best.
