Hi, I am new to all this and have never been on a forum before, but i am feelinglike i need moral support right now. We have been trying for a baby for the last 7 months with no joy. Everyone says stop thinking about it and it will happen - easier said than done. My period is very light for the first 5 days and full flow comes about day 6 - what do i count as day 1 as i have tried ovulation kits but can never find the surge days?? anyone any ideas that may help??

I dont know if this will help, but me a my husband tried for almost a year to get pregnant with our first child. Everyone always told me to relax also, which is easier said than done when you are trying so hard to concieve. A friend of mine said just count back 14 days from the first day of your last period, and then next month try on that day. We tried, it worked the first month that we tried. As for the first day of your period, I would go with the first day of your light period.

Me and my husband have been trying for several months and I just started my period again and am very disappointed and discouraged. I am trying to just relax and not let it consume me, but it is really hard. I also have a couple of days of very light spotting before my full flow, so I don't know what to count either, but last month we had sex a lot and this month I am just going to count 10 days from the first day of the spotting and then have sex every other day for the rest of the month. We are trying our best to make it fun so that it doesn't feel stressful and too pressured.

Hi I am also a new user on here. I just went off the pill a few days ago so we are going to start trying in another week. I hope that I get pregnant sooner then later because I had Endometriosis and had the surgery for it just over a month ago. I find my period is still painful so the sooner I get pregnant the better. I am going to try the 14 day thing.
Good luck Katrina, have you talked to your Dr at all? They might be able to get you some other suggestions and also maybe some health tests to make sure everything is a.o.k.

Good luck.

I feel extremely stressed to. For our first born we didn't try as we he was and early engagement gift! But now that we are trying it seems as if its not happening!!! SO HARD TO CALM DOWN!!! It was almost as if it was to easy the first time! We fallowed my patern, my last period was on the 9th of October, and my leutal faze is 14 days, meaning my peek ovulation was on the 23rd of Oct, we definatly did all we could, seeing as how we only had that week, my husband works away in a differnt city for 2 sometimes three out of the 4 weeks there is in month!! figners crossed!
