First let me express my condolences for your loss. Second, have you discussed with your obstetrician your desire to want another baby? After a dilation and curettage to prevent bacteria from entering your cervix you should refrain from sexual intercourse, tampon use, for at least six weeks. Because of your age yes, pregnancy is harder and you fall in the "High Risk" category. It is possible but I would advise you to discuss your desire with your doctor. Use some kind of contraceptive until your doctor clears you. You definitely do not want to continue going through the loss you are now. Do you have any children? I hope you are relaxing. May God Bless You!

I lost my baby boy only 2 weeks ago when he was 38 weeks. It is the hardest thing in my whole life! The sorrow could make me stop breathing! I am also going to turn 41 in just a few days time. It took us almost a year to conceive Noah. Now the doctor told us that since I've given birth once, it should be much easier to get pregnant again, although they can not guarantee what will happen in the next pregnancy. I am prepared to try again. It feels like the lifeline for me at this moment.
