My husband and i are trying to conceive. The past week, i felt in my mind and heart that i might be pregnant. I told my husband what i was feeling, and he was so excited, as i was too. Then today, i took a test, and it came out negative, we were both so crushed. We even started to make plans for the nursery and picked out a name for a boy and a girl. I need any and all advice, tips, suggestions i can get from anybody, please. My husband is in the army, and deploys in november, since he cannot be there for the birth and for the first year or so of his childs life, he wants to be there for me and our baby for most of the pregnancy. I really want to become pregnant more than anything in the world right now. Can anyone help me???? Thanks

Don't get your hopes up for pregnancy before you have actually seen a positive test. There is no way to know or feel that you are pregnant unless you've missed a period and tested. I know it's hard, but getting your hopes up will only disappoint you as you have seen and make you very tense and might decrease your chances of becoming pregnant because of the stress involved.

The best thing to do if you want to become pregnant is to try to conceive at the time you ovulate.....get an ovulation predictor kit. You can also try a couple days before you ovulate as well because sperms can live within you for 3 days afterwards.

Here is a very useful link that hopefully will help you achieve your goals faster!! Smile Good luck to you and your husband.

tring to conceive
THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY. I ACTUALLY DID GET STRESSED OUT AND DOWN ABOUT IT. BUT I AM TRYING TO STAY POSITIVE AND STRESS FREE. I LOOKED AT THE LINK YOU GAVE ME, AND I HEARD A LOT ABOUT SOME OF THE THINGS IN THERE, LIKE LAYING DOWN AFTER INTERCOURSE FOR A WHILE, I USE TO GET RIGHT UP AND GO TAKE A SHOWER, NOW I KNOW NOT TO JUST YET. IS IT TRUE THAT YOU CAN OVULATE ANY TIME DURING THE MONTH, INCLUDING THE TIME OF YOUR PERIOD? OR IS THAT JUST A RUMOR, AND YOU CAN ONLY OVULATE AFTER YOUR PERIOD? MY PERIOD IS KINDA MESSED UP RIGHT NOW, SO IM HAVING MY HUSBAND GET AN OVULATION TEST. ARE THEY EASY TO READ? ALSO, DO THEY TELL YOU WHEN YOU ARE ABOUT TO OVULATE, INSTEAD OF LETTING YOU KNOW THAT YOU ALREADY OVULATED?
HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON!!!

Extremely eHealthy
first off please stop typing in caps....its kinda a rule here

second, you CAN ovulate any time but its HIGHLY unlikely, you should be ovulating about 14 days BEFORE your next period

third, OPKs are tricky...they usualyy look "positive" all the time because they measure a hormone called LH which is ALWAYS present but you have an lh surge when you ovulate so the test line gets really really dark usualy like the day before the day of and the day after or something like that....ill see if i can find something that explains it better

good luck

*edit* www.peeonastick.com this site explains everything very well.....i hope thats not a problem with the tos....it isnt a forum, that i know of, its just an information site
