Q: Trying for #2

Hi, I'm having trouble getting pregnant. My husband and I have a 22 month old daughter and it took us 7 months to get pregnant with her. I've been trying for baby #2 for almost a year now with no luck. We have sex when I'm supposedly ovulating, I buy kits to tell me when I'm ovulating, everything!! I went to the gyno and everything was normal. He said he will put me on clomid if I'm not pregnant by the spring. I don't understand why he wouldn't go ahead and try with the clomid? Does anyone have any advice for me?

I've been taking my vitamins and extra folic acid just in case I end up pregnant one of these years! Also, my periods are pretty regular. Usually 28-32 day cycles. I'm just so frustrated!! Are there any other non-prescription things anyone took that helped? Or any tips in general? Getting pregnant is hard! Lol

Lol i agree. It gets more and more frustrating every month! I've heard loads of really wierd things like after sex if you lie down and put a pillow under your bum so that its higher and stay there for a while it helps lol. Ermmmm do you smoke or drink? Also i remember hearing that your partner should take zinc to help sperm and more vitamin d like milk and stuff.

Good Luck!!

Perhaps you should stop trying so hard and maybe it will happen.. I don't mean stop trying but enjoy and relax with your husband, get connected again.. Im sure it will happen soon enough, but i don't think basing your life around trying for a baby is good for the both of you.. the stress levels wont help..
Good luck.. * baby dust *

Yeah, you are probably right! The first 6 months I wasn't too concerned. I know it takes even a healthy couple up to a year but now that it's been almost a year I'm getting anxious. I'm hoping it will be soon though! I know with my daughter it really did seem like the month I didn't really think about it I ended up pregnant. Now why is that?! Lol giggle My husband had to force me to take that pregnancy test because I just knew it was negative but lo and behold I got a positive that month!
