For about the past three months I've had this problem and I don't know what it is. I'm not able to take a deep breath I can take short breathes but then when I try to take a deep breath I can't sometimes this will last for an hour sometimes 5 or 6 hours. When this does happen it's usually when I'm just sitting around or if I go outside and it's hot then it will kick in and I can't take a deep breathe. I have been to the doctors and they said it's not asthma, they don't know they assume it to be anxiety, but I'm not in an anxious environment when this happens, i far from anxious. Does anyone have any ideas? Thx

If you have trouble breathing and don't have asthma or any other major medical condition here's a few things to look into: Vocal Cord Dysfunction and Hyperventilation Syndrome. Both are curable by breathing exercises! VCD mimics asthma conditions and HS has similar conditions. All three of the above conditions are reduced significantly if you do get stress/anxiety under control, if you experience either.
