My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about a year and a half. I have been seeing my gyno about once a month, taking Clomid, monitoring my basal body temperature, tried ovulation tests, and even took Mucinex this past month to thin my cervical mucus. My doctor does not seem to be helping. I feel like there are more tests he could do, but the only thing he has done is put me on Clomid, check my progesterone level on day 20, and did a HSG. Then last month I had to go to the emergency room for severe pelvic pain to find out I had a cyst on my ovary that burst. They did a ultrasound to determine that I had multiple cysts. Now this month, I was really hoping it was going to be the month, I thought I was experiencing symptoms...tired, headaches, always thirsty, and one day I had lower back pain. Only I got my period on day 20 when I usually have a 30 day cycle. I called my doctor to ask why it would be early and his nurse said it could be from weight gain or loss, diet, stress, etc, but I haven't experienced any of the things she mentioned. It is not normal for me and I want to know why. We have been trying so long and it is very unusual for this to happen. What are the reasons my period would be so early? What other tests are there that my doctor can do to determine why we are not conceiving?

hi there i am in a similar situation to you (see my post "pregnant or losing it?". my friend went through the same things as you the doctors and nurses didnt seem to be doing much for her and she ended up finding out the hard way that she had cysts on her ovary.

she usually had 28 every month for years but started day 19. this was explained to her as being from stress of her body from the cyst bursting, though she herself didnt seem to feel any stress. maybe this is the same case for you?

hope this helped in some way, least you're not alone. baby dust to you!!
