The past couple days I've noticed it has been hard for me to take a deep breath, or to feel like I have enough air going into my lungs. I'll try to breathe deep and it's like I just can't reach that point. I feel like I'm breathing fine but I could be taking in more air. When I'm laying in bed I can take breaths better if I'm sitting up. It's really aggravating and hard not to notice. It's been staying this way since yesterday and today, other times it was just an off and on type of thing. Another thing I noticed was if I gently press on my chest I feel a slight pain, maybe like pressure, or sensitivity. I don't know what to do about this, and it's really scaring me. I can't imagine having something wrong with me.

Trouble breathing.
I am 15 years old, & i have trouble breathing, i feel as if i'm not getting air in. My ENT doctor says i have a divated septum, and i have surgery on the 27th of this month. But yet i have trouble reminding myself i am going to be okay. I have bad axiety, & acid reflex, so i am on medication for all that. But it still feels like nothing is working. I'm feel like i'm dying everyday almost everyday, and i feel like there is no help for me, so i'm hoping and praying this surgery helps me. I wish there was someone who is suffering with my problems to talk about it with me. Please reply.

trouble breathing deeply
ok.. some say they are certain they do not have asthma.. how are u certain? do u have a pulmonary function test done? most times with asthmatic patients.. it is not that they can't get the air in.. its that normally u can't get the air out. causing hyper-inflated lungs. which then doesn't allow u to take on more air because they are already filled.. try breathing against resistance.. this may help.. such as squeez your lips together and blow

loss of breath
im currently experiencing the same kind of thing, although ive noticed mine gets worse with stress - though wen im relaxed it is there. i know im breathig normally but it just doesnt seem to be enough - i have to take a big breath almost like that of a yawn to feel satisfied that i have enough air. went to the docs today had some blood tests done and an ecg - normal rhythm with unusual p axis (82), multple premature complexes: ventr & iventr, borderline intraventricular conduction delay & nonspecific inferior t wave abnormalities. they gave me an inhaler which does seem to help ease breathing - not asthmatic have to go back on friday for results of blood test tho there is a history of heart problems in my family such as a racing then slowing heartbeat.

I've had the same problems for about a month now. I've been in and out of the emergency room. I even had to leave school because my blood pressure was 140/100 and my heart rate 136. I'm 15 so I know I'm too young for high blood pressure. I've had trouble breathing and it feels as though I can't get enough air into my lungs. I've had chest pains on and off, too. During the day, I stop breathing without realizing it myself. Someone always has to ask me why I'm holding my breath. Does anyone know what this is?
