Q: trochleitis symptoms ?

I have been suffering from migraine for years, but recently, the pain seems to have subsided. However, for 2 years now, I have been having swollen eye bag (right side) whenever I have migraine attack (left part of the head). At first, I took it for granted but it got worse, my face feels numb and my skin sags. The dr gave me myonal but it didn't seem to help too. Right now, I am taking Indometacin and Topiramate (prophylaxis). My neurologist is not sure why my eye bag swells, he said that happens to those who have cluster headache but based on my description, mine is obviously a migraine. In line with this, I have decided to do online research and I came accross trochleitis...but then, I can't be sure...

I am looking forward for your analysis.

Thank you very much.

Welcome to EHEALTHforum!
Do you get upper eye bag?
Do you find point tenderness in the upper medial rim of the orbit (upper part next to the nose where you can feel the bony rim)?
Is the pain worsening when you try to look down and inwards?
Have you ever been diagnosed for the type of migraine headache?

Yes, I've been diagnosed with migraine and it's quite tolerable now. It's just that the eye bag swells and it feels numb and stiff, though it doesn't hurt even when I look up and down. It's the eye bag, not the eye lid, swelling of the eye lid is quite more common.

It's quite uncommon, and I can't let this prevent me from working. It doesn't look pleasant Embarassed .

Thanks!

I was asking if you are familiar with the certain type (subtype) of migraine you have.
Do you get visual disturbances, too?
Are you experiencing slurred speech, and poor muscle coordination at that moments?
