Hey Im new.
I have had bulimia for nearly fourteen months now and have been on and of with episodes of depression.
I was just wondering.. what sort of treatment is there available for Bulimia and what is most effective in the long term? doctor doctor doctor
I have seen my GP and she reffered me to a psychologist.
I was wondering what might I expect when I go there for the first time.

An antidepressant might get prescribed to help. The first phase of bulimia treatment focuses on stopping the vicious cycle of binging and purging and restoring normal eating patterns. You will learn to avoid situations that trigger a desire to binge or purge. It will take a lot of willpower and it is not going to be easy. Use this forum anytime. Type your stress instead of attacking your body. I know easier said than done. But hey baby steps right? Let me know how things go at your first visit.
