Sorry for the terrible cell phone quality. I have had this "scab" for quite a while (a couple of months), and it hasn't changed at all. It used to be a small cut I would get on my thumb, but it never healed. I used to have these small cuts all the time, and they would heal quickly, but this one turned out pretty bad. There is no peeling, and it seems that the skin is trying to grow outward instead of along the finger, which makes it white due to the fact that it is dry dead skin. It won't peel off even if I tried, but it does not hurt like a scab or cut. Does anyone know what kind of cut this is, and how I could help the healing process speed up?
