Q: Treating urination difficulty

Hello!

My father recently sought the advice of his urologist when he began having difficulty urinating again after treatment of his BPH a few months back.

His doctor suggested he look into a new prostatic stent called the Spanner that he thinks will really turn my Dad's condition around. Has anyone tried the spanner before or heard anything about it?

My Dad's urologist speaks very highly of the product but we just wanted to get a third party opinion before we went ahead with it...thank-you for any help you can provide!

Very Concerned Daughter

Some complications related to stent are stent migration, expulsion, and encrustation (crust formed over the stent).
One clinical study have shown that more than half of the tested patients (63%) had unsatisfactory outcomes with the stent, and the remaining 37% were considered to have had satisfactory outcomes.
