Current medical status: I have a recurring boil between my buttocks, it started 8 1/2 months ago then went and it caneback around 2 1/2 months ago i wet to the hospital and they cut it out whilt i had a local anethestic, so that went for around 2 weeks but since then i have had at least one every week, it fills with foul smelling yellow/green pus it gets so big i can't sit down and find it difficult to walk without it hurting
The boil has to be treated. Otherwise a pelvic inflammation might occur. Once the tissue is damaged, the boil tends to appear again. You might want to use over the counter topical anti-inflammatory and antibiotic creams. The pus might be cultured, so the antibiogram will point out the exact antibiotic that should be used. Extreme hygiene is obligatory.
If this does not decrease the symptoms within several days, you might want to open it surgically, drainage placed and reepithelization to occur.
