If there is no other detectable metastatic disease other than in the liver (based upon CT-PET scan), then you should be considered for resection of this tumor (assuming that it is technically resectable). If, for various reasons, you cannot undergo a liver resection, and there is no other evidence of metastatic lesions, then a second alternative would be to undergo microwave or radiofrequency ablation ("burning") of your liver tumor.
It is, unfortunately, impossible to predict what will happen with individual patients in the future, and physicians are notoriously inaccurate at making such predictions.
If a thorough staging reveals no detectable disease outside of your liver, then I would recommend that you be seen by a Surgical Oncologist.
