Q: Treating hormonal imbalances with phytohormones
asked by: DoctorQuestion on January 23rd, 2009
my last shot of Depro was near the end of August 2008 and my BF and I decided we wanted to have a baby, I have two children from previous relationships so I know that I can conceive, my children are almost 14 and 8 years old. After having my daughter I went on shot and then a few break from it and started back on it in April 2008. It should have run out of my body by beginning of december and everyone says that it could be months before I could even get pregnant but my body feels like it is having withdrawls. I have taken a few pregnancy tests since then each one negative and have had a brownish black discharge but no period. My DR said to give it a bit of time but all the withdrawal symptoms I am feeling only makes me want to go back on shot. I have headaches, cramping in lowerback, exhaustion a lot of pregnancy symptoms basically. Is there something that I can do to either help conceive faster or reduce the effects of hormone withdrawl on my body. please help

Given the data you provided, you might either try to conceive or get back on birth control medications. Since most of the birth control medications contain hormones, it would be inevitable to have an artificially induced hormonal imbalance if you want your symptoms to decrease. If you try to conceive you might try over the counter products that contain phytohormones. The phytohormones are substances originating from plants that have similar chemical structure with the female hormones. The chemical structure is similar enough to deceive the body that the female hormone blood level is normal, but they are different enough not to interfere with the original female hormones and their function.
