A fungal infection can occur very often after a prolonged application of very potent antibiotics. The condition is treatable, but the treatment might take a long time and a lot of patience as in any other fungal infection. Over the counter topical antifungal creams might be recommended. Please have in mind that your sexual partner has to take the same treatment. Otherwise, the infection will be transferred from one to another (so called “pin-pong effect).
