To treat the symptoms, try changing your diet to an anti-inflammatory diet for one month and then begin to reintroduce foods and see how your body reacts.

The old saying 'you are what you eat'....

It worked for me and I was in terrible pain for 8 long years until I tried it this past May...not only did my pain level go from 10 + to a 0 within a short period of time...energy & flexibility came back, lost weight...

I had my doubts at first that by changing the foods that I eat would rid my body of 24/7 pain. Inflammation begins in the digestive tract and migrates throughout the body.

Yeah I know pain is just part of it, then comes the foggy thinking, etc.

Lyrica can help pain but it can make one foggy / sleepy.

At one time I was told that not getting into a deep sleep will negatively affect Fibro. Years ago my PCP placed me on Zyprexa, anti-depressent, to help me get into that deep sleep. It worked but I felt like a zombie.

I do hope that you find something that works for you so that you may get your life back.

Best Wishes,

zigemyster, what kinds of food is considered anti-inflammatory? it sounds new to me. maybe your approach is limited as confirmed by bug6692

secondly, fibro problems are usually relieved by anti-inflammatory drugs. a situation considered to be a down-stream problem. so, what is precise source of these inflammatory chemical i.e. leukotrienes and prostaglandins?
