Hi TJ. I hope you are finding the answers you are looking for. (In my experience I have always been overwhelmed w/ how helpful people are!)

I wish I had a first or second hand experience w/ Balloon Sinuplasty that I could share. I have heard "good things", sure. But you never know until you try I guess.

I did see an article in USA Today recently, I will paste it below. Interesting. Best of luck and be well.

Hi woofwoof. Thanks for the link. Does sound interesting and i'm going to get some info about it this week. I don't think it's available where i am but i can speak to ent surgeons about it which is great. Cheers.

Post back if you find anything interesting. Sounds pretty interesting, I like that the balloon sinuplasty is less invasive than regular sinus surgery. Best of luck.
Be well.

chronic sinusitis after catching a respiratory virus
I got chronic sinusitis after catching a respiratory virus. This same virus seems to have kicked off receding gums (periodontal disease) in my mouth, skin problems, fatigue, memory difficulties, and many others.

Btw you can't post links on here. If you remove it should be ok. Your post will be removed if you leave the links in and it sounds like useful information. I will check it out. I'll post back in as bit but just wanted to let you know. Cheers.

Thanks. That's what i like about it. Apparently it's an in and out thing and you can be recovered in a few days. This is a procedure i'd be willing it to try because it seems much less invasive and no permanent changes are made. It was kind of a blow to be told that i no longer had chronic sinusitis even though i have this chronic sinus pressure headache. I've been wondering what the implications of this are if they can't find anything. I'm currently trying apple cider vinegar as i've read so many good things about. More for fatigue than anything else and i have noticed that in the past few days i have been feeling slightly better and had more energy. But then the symptoms i have can fluctuate from one day to the next regardless of what i do. Wish i knew what the heck was going on. I was reading earlier that a lot of sinusitis is misdiagnosed and is actually a form of migraine. I don't know if that's the case with me but something is wreaking havoc with my sinuses. Sad

I've been reading some good things about acv. Apparently it is most effective at the onset of sinus infection and can actually prevent it if you catch it in time. The one i am taking is called honeygar and also contains manuka honey. I don't know if its the best stuff as it needs to be raw and organic but that is not specified on the bottle. Something else i am reading good things about is baking soda. There's a good website called curezone with many other home remedies and treatments and the best way to take them. Best

Thanks for all the back and forth. Enjoying it and really helpful.

I had heard sinus surgery horror stories of noses packed w/ guaze and so forth. But I guess the deal w/ the balloon sinuplasty is that you are back up and running the next day.

Sounds pretty good to me ........

I am sorry to hear about all of your sinusitis problems. Both my wife and I suffered from sinusitis for years and tried everything but nothing worked. We have been using a nasal spray made in the UK called SinuSoothe for the last 5 months and now we rarely get troubled by sinusitis. It is completely natural and we did not suffer any side effects. It has been a revelation and we recommend it to anyone who is bothered by sinusitis. It also treats hayfever, allergies etc. but I do not know if it works for these. It relieves the sinus pain, pressure and headaches you get with sinusitis and is supposed to kill the bacterial and fungal infection that causes it in the first place. We swear by it and purchased it by sending an email to the SinuSoothe website.

I would also recommend supplementing your diet with natural ant-inflammatories such as turmeric, ginger and omega 3.

P.S. I suffered from dizziness and fatigue when my sinusitis was at its worst however looking back now I think I was also suffering from adrenal fatigue. I would recommend anyone suffering from these symptoms to search the internet as their is a lot of great advice on how to remedy it. Remember both sinusitis and adrenal fatigueare caused by stress so it is possible to have both at the same time. I also had bowen therapy which is a non invasive treatment that rebalances the body and makes you less prone to being stress.
Now that I am back to full fitness these things I have overcome have made me a stronger person.
Please keep an open mind and remember that every cloud has a silver lining.

Good Luck!

Well i've been getting nowhere with doctors so i called my local patient advice and liasion office yesterday and told them what had been going on. Next time i see the consultant i'm going to make it clear as i can that the symptoms are still bad and i want a clear answer on what's happening, not another nasal spray. I don't expect a diagnosis there and then but i'm sure there's more they can do.

If the outcome is unsatisfactory and i don't feel like i'm getting anywhere or disagree with the consultant i can go back to PAL and they will help me get a second opinion or take whatever steps are necessary to get things moving forward which is good. Wish i'd know about them sooner.

A friend of mine told me about olive leaf extract being really good for chronic sinusitis and is backed up by medical evidence. I just read it's really good for cfs as well so i will be getting some of that! The honeygar i've been taking is great for fatigue, tastes pretty good too! gosign

Is anyone tried or found any benefit from any of the supplemenys or home remedies that have been posted? Smile
