List of other diseases, conditions, or injuries and their treatment: anal fissure

The anal fissure is a great place for entrance for many bacteria that might cause the abscess. The antibiotics are adequate treatment for the abscess, but when the abscess is treated you might want to treat the fissure as well. Over the counter products or medications used for faster epithelisation of the skin and mucosa might be helpful. Extreme hygiene in the area is obligatory.
