Hello.

It recently came to my attention that a relative of mine has been abusing anabolic steroids for a very long time (5 years). We always thought something might be amiss as he became extremely muscular after being quite slender throughout his early adulthood. Now in his mid-30s, he works out daily, eats a very regimented diet, as well as injecting the steroids. His behavior and demeanor while "cycling" is very erratic and volatile. Family and friends are extremely concerned after finding out about the situation. He has not been receptive when the subject is brought up and is defensive. How do we go about getting him help when he is not willing to accept it? Along with the steroids, he takes an anti-depressant medication as well as dabling with marijuana usage. We are leery of attempting an intervention as his moods are extremely volatile and we are concerned with his and his family's safety.
