Q: Trapezius pain

Hi,

I'm currently suffering from what feels like a strain across my trapezius. It's been occuring over the course of a year. The physio's I have seen treat it as a strain and massage it - causing the pain to increase. Doctors have done nerve conduction and MRI and say the muscle is fine.

The only person who has been able to offer some relief is a 'muscle manipulator' that claims the trapezius is being pinched/trapped by the scapula and frees it. The only problem is the pain comes back after a week.

I was wondering if anyone ha come across this before, and what else i can do to try and fix it?

Thanks

hi,you possibly suffer from neck soft tissue injuries, which can lead to trapezius pain and shoulder blade pain..etc.

Deep and intensive acupuncture can help.
Good luck!

possible TOS
Maybe you have thoracic outlet syndrome I have it very badly but I need more info from you about your pain and when and how it started. Many people have it but don't know what it is. This can be very dibilitating if not taken care of.

Trapezius Nerve damage
I wrenched my neck/shoulder severely 10 weeks ago and tests show that I have severe damage to Trapezius nerve and muscle now 25% functioning - as expected there is muscle waste etc.

What treatements are available?
