Q: Transmission of STDs through oral sex
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 13th, 2009
I slept with a Woman in a Night Club in North Cyprus Over a week ago; although I did not have unprotected intercourse we both preformed oral sex on each other. There were no signs of anything that should alert me to her having anything she was very very clean and showered prior to sex. I have no signs that I have contracted anything at all the oral sex was very short and no fluids were passed. Am I over reacting do I have any concerns to be?

Transmission during oral sex is possible if there are sores in the mouth of the female or any little wounds on the penis of the man. Pre-ejaculation fluid as well as the semen can transmit an infection from the male to the female.

According to the data you provided, you might have no reason to panic. Most of the sexually transmitted diseases show the first symptoms within several days up to two weeks. So, you might want to wait for a few more days and then calm yourself.
