I know you may not of heard of anything like this but it is VERY important to me. my mom is a vary lucky lady. she has had hiv, aids for 19 years now. she is not doing as well recently as she had been previously.
she has always told me that she got it from my dad. she tells me that that is the only way she could have contracted hiv. she told me that shortly after i was born, when i was about two, that the lady my dad was cheating on my mom with had died from aids. after that my mom and dad both got tested. my mom came back positive and my dad negative. now my questions is is there any way my dad could have transferred the virus from the other lady to my mom without getting it him self???
Did she have to get it another way or could she have gotten it from my dad??
i have also read in a popular science magazine that some europeans can not contract hiv, aids because they dont have the CD4 recepter cell that the hiv virus needs to attach it self to the cell and reproduce. is this true???
could my dad have carried it and gave it to my mom without getting infected himself??
maybe he dosnt have the recepter cell??
Idk about her story. i just want some clarification... can any one help. and thank you for looking in to it

Yes, I have a friend who has been carrying the AIDS virus for 25 years with NO symptoms. He had 2 partners die from the disease in the late 1980's yet he has never been ill at all so it is possible.
