Yesterdar, a friend of mine touched the head of a stray dog that was injured when we were downtown. It had small injuries, but they were fresh and bleeding, and it was all wet because of the rain. She doesn't really care about it, but i'm worried cause afterwards she touched her face, and she touched my hand (i had some minor scratches in my hand that i made that same day). I think that those injuries might be from a bite or a fight with other strays, and that means that there was saliva in that inury.

Should we think about rabies? Are antirabies shots recommenden in this case?

In my country rabies is extremely rare, even when there is a great problem with strays (the city is full of them). There are only 10 cases of rabies in dogs in the last 25 years for the whole country. The only reservoir are bats, so, the dog rabies cases are all bat related. But still this bothers me a lot, i just can't let it go... i don't know if its normal for strays to have inuries, maybe a rabid dog bit him.

should we go to the doctor? or take the shots?
