Q: Total numbness in hand and foot

In March 2008 I was rushed into hospital. Whilst in the ambulance, I lost sensation to my right leg and right arm. Suspected stroke. During this time I have had 3 MRI scans, 1 CT scan, a lumbure puncture, Sodium Amytal test, Sensory testing and every time they can not find anything.I have seen 3 different neurologists. During this 15 month period I have suffered with a lot of symtoms also mentioned on this site like headaches, blurred vision, swallowing problems and urinary incontinence and regular foot and leg spasms. For the whole 15 months I have not been able to feel sensation in my hand or foot. Total numbnesss!
I was also rushed in in January 2009 with minor problems. Both of my admissions followed a time when I had been ill with Pluracy or a chest infection.

Life without a diagnosis is so hard on me and my family. If anybody has any advice or comments, they would be very much appreciated. Thanks

I totally understand...
I've been having some similar symptoms, but I have POTS, and I was never sick until I got a really bad cold/virus a couple of years ago. & I'm still having trouble with my symptoms even on meds. Some of your symptoms sound like MS, but if you have had a MRI done...then Idk about MS. I think you should get a spinal tap done, maybe that would show something. Just be patient, you'll find the right doctor for diagnoses.
