Q: Total Checkup

I am a female, 23 years old Jamaican. I've been to public clinics many times with the intention to get a total body examination. They are always insisting that all i need to do is a HIV/AIDS test and a breast examination. I, however want to do more than this. I understand that there are persons who are ill who urgently require these tests even more than myself, but i still think it's important to do this.

I want a complete examination. I want to know my blood count, my cholesterol level, i want to know about my heart, i want to do all STDs tests, my reproductive organ - I want to know things that I dont even know how to ask about. I just want to know that everything is okay with my body. I may not be able to do them in one go, but overtime I'd like to. Is this so wrong? I plan to go to a private doctor, but I'd like to go prepared, knowing what to request.

so here are my questions:
1. Can i have a list of ALL the exams or tests that i can/should do, please?
2. Do i have to go to a doctor to get these tests recommended?

during a my annual exam my doctor gives me a pap smear and he check my breast for lumps, and STD testing.
you should be able to request this and have it done.

the doctor should always check your blood pressure every time you go to the doctors. this is how i found out i have high blood pressure.
i was having problems so that's when the doctor sent for test to be done, and that's how i found out that i have high cholesterol.
