Hi
I’m Ben
I’m in a serious problem……in a small quarrel I hit my little brother who is only 6 years old. Well, it was all his fault, I was playing my video game and he just came and tried to snatch the joystick from my hand. I was so angry that I hit him so hard that he fell on the ground….he was injured on his forehead. At that time I felt terribly concerned and I Betadine on the wound. The problem is that some droplets of the medicine went into his eyes; my hands were trembling so I couldn’t help it. Eric, my little brother screamed so loud when the medicine went into his eyes. I told him to wash it with water which he did. Luckily his eyes stopped burning. I’m afraid that the medicines will cause further damage to his eyes. do you think that betadine can be that harmful.

Hi Ben

Little Brothers eh .. they will play up, how old are you ? Did you tell your Mum what has happened ... I'm sure that she can help.
Betadine is an antiseptic, and it contains alcohol (not the type to drink) so although Eric got it in his eyes, you did the right thing washing it out with water straight away, however, it's best that you say something, so your Mum can make sure Eric's eyes are ok.
I hope you'll do the right thing, and tell her..
Best Wishes
Ginger

Hey
also if you are worried about it you can call your local poison controll center ---make sure taht you have the bottle there so you can tell them about it. and how much you used. that would go for any poison that gets in eyes or that gets injested in anyway.
