Rock Star Joel Madden may be thinking about marrying his pregnant girlfriend Nicole Richie.

The "Simple Life" star is reported to be over 12 weeks pregnant, and she has already shared the wonderful news with her mother, Brenda, and her close pals, including Mischa Barton. The party princess failed to confirm or deny the pregnancy to the media.

Joel and his brother, Benji, recently were spotted shopping for an engagement ring and sources revealed that the couple may plan to wed this summer. "Nicole is awesome. I would love to see them married!" US Weekly quoted Joel's older brother, Josh Madden, as saying. At this point Ritchie has a lot going on in her mind, with the recent rumors of pregnancy and the DUI charges that may end up putting her in jail. The charges were filed following her arrest last December for driving on the wrong side of a highway in California.

The "Simple Life" star may release a statement about her pregnancy and her marriage after her court date, which is scheduled for this Wednesday, July 11th. If the star is found guilty, she could be jailed for 90 days or up to a year.

She's had problems with drugs and possible eating disorders. If she's pregnant, I hope she pulls it together for the sake of her baby.
