What Should I Do???
Posted: 07-09-07 14:58pm

Girls, I need your advice!

Ok, so my protection period is going to end at the end of July, so we can actively start trying again in August. Well here are my dates and my situations. Please tell me what I should do.

Start af 7/13 and then ovulate on 7/27. I have my pap on 7/30 (this is to check to see that we can start trying again).

My first question is, do you think that I should push my pap up one week, so that I can catch the fertile period at the end of July? Or do you think I am just rushing things. After all I have waited this long, why not wait a little bit longer.

Ok so now for the rest. If I chose to get the pap a week earlier, so that I can catch my ovulation at the end of July I would have a few things coming up that I might want to wait.

My next dates would be AF around 8/9 and ovulate 8/20.

So, my birthday is 8/3 and it is the big 30, so I have a feeling I will want to drink, but I certainly don't have to. I have friends coming down that weekend and they don't really drink, so it's not that big of a deal.

Also, I am going to a concert on 8/11. So if I did push the pap up a week, and tried at the end of this month, My test date would be right about at the date of the concert. The reason I am asking about the concert, is because it is a huge gathering of many friends, like 30 or so, and we have gone to this concert for the past 5 years. It's a hugh deal! So.....

What would you do if you were me?

1. Push the pap up one week to try earlier, or

2. Wait until the middle of August to try again?

I need some advise, because I don't know what normal people think about these things (sometimes my thinking isn't normal!)

I think you should try at the end of .July and just move your pap up. Since you'll be actively trying, I don't think you should miss that extra ovulation! Wink

and in regards to the concert, maybe wait to test until the concert is over? Unless you think the wondering would distract from the concert. Maybe you could bring a pee stick with you to use in a porto potty? Laughing

Shocked
I really almost choked on my cookie!!!!

Well I don't even go in those porto potties....ewww gross, just the thought of them makes me cringe.

I am glad to hear that you guys think that I should get the pap done earlier. I was just thinking that I was trying to rush things and didn't want to be impatient.

I think that I will have started by the day of the concert, so I could always test the day or morning before so I can get it over with before the concert.

Thank you very much ladies. I am so glad to be able to talk to you guys! Laughing

I agree with everyone else as well. I would move my pap up and try at the end of July. You never know, it might be your lucky month.

I agree with everyone else. Also, ask about how long it will take you to get results. I wonder if your doc might want you to hold off until the results come back. If so, make the pap even earlier!!!

Good luck!

Ok.. Thanks girls I will try to call the doctor today. I was just saying to myself, if I can get an earlier appointment then maybe it is meant to be this month. But if I can't, then it is meant to be that I just wait.

I hope I can get an apointment for the Monday after next.

Ok, so I just got off the phone with the doctor's office and they moved my appointment to monday the 23rd. One week before my original appointment. I couldn't move it to any other day mainly because of work obligations.... They had to schedule my pap with another doctor because my doctor is teaching all summer. I was thinking to myself...when were they going to tell me that they had switched doctors to do my pap?

So that means I'm still in the game for July. I hope I hope this is it!!!!

Please pray for me girls!!! I really need it.. And send all the baby dust you can.

((**HUGS**))
