Q: Fibroid Tumors And Prolapsed Cervix- Doctor Question

I have been having severe pain with my menstrual cycle for the past several months, lots of bleeding, and severe pain. I recently had an ultrasound that diagnosed me with several large fibroid tumors, it also showed that my uterus was the size of a 3 month pregnant uterus. Within the past week I have noticed that my cervix is right at the vagnal opening, and after talking to my dr on the phone I have discovered this is a prolapsed cervix. I have had for many years severe constipation, often going without a bowel movement for several days, sometimes as long as a week or more. I also have a history of pulmonary emboli, which my dr suggested cutting off the blood supply to the tumors instead of a hysterectomy, because of the bleeding and possibility of more PE's forming. As I said, within the last 4 or 5 days my cervix has prolapsed, and my question is, do you think that it could have something to do with constipation problems, and do I need surgery to have the cervix repaired? Also, is the prolapsed cervix the beginning of a prolapsed uterus?

Hello...some Similiar Probs
Hello,
After the birth of my last child (7 years ago), I had a prolapsed uterus, my then obgyn told me that this was normal. I have since changed clinics and Dr.s...and kinda lived with it...fast forward...to now...I have had constipation...to the point that when I go my uterus is falling out...I have a fallen bladder, too...as I go on with my day gravity does not help me and I am in pain...So my new OBGYN has been trying to figure out my probs and I just told her about this...and she said.."OMG...this is not normal.."...
I am having surgery to remove my uterus, and lift my bladder and make sure my bowels are ok...

does this help??
