Q: D & C And Recovery

after finding out that we lost our baby last week, i went in this morning for a scheduled d & c to take over where mother nautre had not. It was quick and i was asleep and awake before I knew anything had happened. they gave me medication to contract my uterus and pain medications to make me comfortable and sleep. Chris is being wonderful and watching over me like a mother hen (its cute really)

I can't help but truly feel the loss now, i feel empty in my heart and in my belly. I know this happened due to a greater purpose, but it does not detract from the very real heart ache. My heart goes out to any woman who has lost a pregnancy (hugs to you all)

I think i am going to go back to sleep... i'll check back later.

i have been having some rather uncomfortable back pain (they gave me petocin in the hospital) so i have been puttering arround the house since it felt better than laying or sitting... i think i over did it... now I am really sore. tomorrow I will try to be more dilligent about resting. This evening I have started to nap every 30 mins or so... then I have to move the heating pad and roll over.

The good thing is the medication to shrink my uterus is also restricting blood so I have not started to bleed... although I have a sneeky suspicion that when i do finish it some time tomorrow morning then i will start my "period"

monkeygirl: I hope all is going wonderful with you...
Kaerbear: thanks for all the research... I have 1 more question that is odd... with a failed pregnancy at this stage, do I have to worry about lactation?
