Hi all

a few months ago I went to see a urologist... and he sayd that I have balanitis, I have like white spots like shown on the pitc (it's a didldo pitcure I took to draw how they look lol)

and doc. sayd I have balanitis for 1 year from now...

1 year ago I had bad smell with my penis, but I dodn't know what was it... and sudenly It was gone... I had those spots than... but I thought it's nothing and that it's normal kinda... I didn't know.

and when I see balanitis pitcures on the net there are red spots on glans... I don't have that, looks clean just those white spots... it has no smell or anything... works normal and functions normal without any pain or something... just those white spots...

and I'm on creme called plymicol for 3 months now, and I think it isn't helping... or if it helps I belive it helped for like 15% maybe...

that doctor allways tells me that it will go away in 12 days... this is my third tube of plymicol... 3-4 months now... and nothing... is there another way... or this doctor didn't gave me the right answer what those spots are.

can anyone tell me something about this.or maybe say how they cure balanitis, or this something I have.

Thanks

Extremely eHealthy
Balantis is a fungal or bacterial infection. It can be due to poor hygiene, diabetes, harsh soaps or cleaning agents, and vaginal secretions may cause normal bacteria to overgrow. I would go back to the doctor and ask him to do a culture and sensitivity of the white spot. This will tell the doctor exactly what this is - bacteria or fungus - and will tell the doctor what medication the balantis is going to respond to. Hope this helps.

Check out "Pearly penile papules" on google. It's just a thought.. this normal condition is present in a significant percentage of men.

Yep Pearly penile papules...totally normal. Hubby has them. Nystatin is not needed. Nystatin is an antifungal cream/powder/oral solution used most commonly to treat yeast infections and thrush in babies' mouths and mamma's breast. Pearly penile papules are harmless and thought to be just very prominant sebaceous glands. (Sweat glands). No treatment is needed unless in the rare case one gets infected.

There really is no need to cure it. It is nothing to be ashamed of and harmless. If it concerns you, ask your doctor about treatments. I think, but am not sure, that collodial silver creams can be used to help out with PPP. Ask your doctor.

Several treatment suggestions
Several treatment methods have been used, including circumcision, podophyllin, electrodessication and curettage, cryotherapy, and even the amateur application of toothpaste. The carbon dioxide laser is probably the most effective. The laser has a long and safe history as a skin laser and is very useful in ablating both superficial and deeper lesions.

Same thing
My girlfriend talked to her doctor an we showed it to him. I have the same thing an the doctor said that it is perfectly normal and that you should not worry. He said basically it is just sweat glands on the penis and that it is normal. It doesn't have any effect on the penis and it is not a disease or anything. Me an my girlfriend have sex all the time an she is on birth control so we don't use a condom ever and it doesn't have any effect on her if it was a fungus she would have gotten something but it is normal an it is nothing to worry about.

my boyfriend has them and I started freaking out when i first saw them! I thought he might pass some infection on to me but then he said it was nothing to worry about! Like most other girls I did my own research instead of taking his word for it! my doctor said it is most common in uncircumsised men so we are definately getting our son circumsised soon.
PS. I feel silly for worrying about it now but his confidence made it much easier to have sex as he doesnt even let it affect him.

My advice to all you lads is to remain confident when it comes to sex and if the girl does ask about it just tell them its sweat glands like they get under their armpits...

Pearly penile papules
You can have the removed with a CO2 laser skin treatment. Normally you go in as an out patient if done under a local anaesthetic.

Results I've seen on Google search looks great. And they say you loose no sensitivity which is cool !! Most times they will do it it in one session but if you have a lot then it may be necessary to have 2 sessions. Take about 10 days to heal up.

I'm talking to my Docs about it next week.

Hope this is of help.

Cheers

Dave UK England.
