Q: Random Updates

I haven't posted in a while so I thought that I'd post a few updates in case anyone was curious about what I've been up to.

Chu is fine. He's actually starting to get a little health forumnky which is good and not so good because i don't want him to be overweight. (catch 22 isn't it? Laughing )

He still isn't really walking. He can do it but seems to prefer not to. He will only walk when he seems to forget that he might fall.

Chu now speaks a little bit of spanish. He can say duck, kitty, sippy, beat your butt (which comes out as bee yo buh and which he says to me and miguel when we won't let him do something, this came after hearing me tell miguel that i would beat his butt if he left a wet towel on my bed again), not (for no), my, daddy, mum, duice (juice), huh, huddy-uh (hurry up), geh-uh (get up), dame (dah-may, spanish for give it to me), papi, mami, ven (spanish for come), and nene (spanish for boy or baby boy). Oh and he calls himself Doo-ey.

We are seriously searching for a house now because Miguel got a dna test done for his daughter and found out that she really is his daughter and now he wants her to come and stay with us for the summer. Plus I've also decided to start ttc. I want a daughter that I can name after my mother. I'm already packing up things we're not using.

I'm buying a car within the next two weeks. my nephew is selling me his 2003 oldsmobile alero for 2500. Good price since it's worth 7,700 private sale and would cost me 10K at a dealership.

Miguel got a new job as a loan officer. He'll make sweet commissions. He's done it before and was a top producer but at the other place he got salary and no commissions.

I am anxiously awaiting my copy of harry potter and the deathly hallows.

That's all, not much else going on! Laughing Everyone else update me on what I might have missed here, please!

I absolutely refuse to have another boy. Laughing I have a hard enough time keeping up with Chu. He's 110% boy already. I figure if I say it enough (about having a girl) then I can make it true! Embarassed Silly, I know. but worth a try (along with a few other things that I've read about). If I don't have a girl, I'm definitely going to try again. If I don't have one after that, I'm giving up. Three boys is enough to qualify anyone for sainthood, take a chance on a fourth and I might reach heaven a little sooner. Laughing

I agree!! Some friends of ours have 3 boys, ages 6, 3 and 18 months. I don't know how they do it!!! She was really hoping to have a little girl this last time, but had the 3rd boy!!

My husband and I were really wanting a little boy. He has a 5-year old little girl from a previous relationship and there are tons of girls in my family. So, I wanted to be able to do and buy little boy things. But, we are being blessed with a little girl.

I guess wishing for one gender, gives you the other!!! So wish for another boy and maybe you'll get your girl. Laughing

I am so excited about Harry Potter that it's embarrassing. I already lined up a sitter for the weekend so that I can read it straight through. It's so sick, I'm counting down like a kid 'til Christmas. Embarassed

I want to name a girl for my mum but not exactly my mum's name. My mum's first name was Nikki. Fairly common now but really weird when she was growing up. I don't want to do Nikki exactly but I'm liking Domenica. I can still call her Nikki for short tho. I plan to give her my mum's exact middle name though.
