Ok as some of you might know I rented one of those fetal heart moniter thingies, but I have yet to hear the baby's heartbeat. Well at the doctor with a little bit of time and effort she was able to hear the h/b when I was 9.3 weeks, now I am 11.5 weeks and still can't hear the h/b. It has me a little worried. But anyways are the dopplers at the doctors office more sensitive than the home one's that you rent? Cause I am getting kinda worried that something is wrong. I go to the doctor on the 11th so I am very anxious to go.

What kind of monitor is it? The bebe sounds ones do not work well at all. I bought one and I couldn't even hear the hb when I was 8 months!!!!! Doctors usually don't recommend using one because it is very hard to find the hb and then mothers get all worried. Yes the one the doctors use are way more sensitive. Where did u rent it from?

I dont know anything about them, but I would say that the ones at the doctors would probably be 100% better I would hope so at least. Keep your chin up!!

I rented one and I haven't had any success. I tried listening from every angle..Lol. But nothing. I just hear howling sounds..Like the wind blowing or something, and I can hear my h/b down there too, but not the babys, every once in a while I do get a swooshing sound but it just does it once then stops. I tried all the tips they tell you in the directions but nothing.

Well I went to the doctor today and about 2 seconds after she put the doppler on my tummy there it was! The little heartbeat just galloping away! :d that made me so happy and relieved. Right after I came from the doctor I tried to find the h/b with the doppler I had at home but nothing Evil or Very Mad . So I am gonna put that away for a while, cause all it does is stresses me out.
