I'm a 14 year old female and I'm 5'1 and weigh 125 pounds. I really think I'm fat, and I want to lose weight. I am atheletic though. I play soccer and basketball, but my weight still seems high to me. So I need tips on what I can do to lose weight, please.

You have to understand one key issue..

Muscle weighs more than fat. YOU cannot judge 'fitness' completely by a scale, because you may have a lot of muscle.

You should concentrate on exercise, which it sounds like you are trying.. With soccer.

Try some weights, extra cardio, and eat healthfully.

Dieting is never a good idea. Eating healthy for a wonderful and healthy life is key!

It keeps your priorities straight.

Depends On Your Body Composition
Question Well, I'm a 16 year old teenage boy that weighs 140-145 lbs, I am 5 foot 10.5 (with head shaved and no socks, 5-11 normally). If you had a high muscle content, then you would definitely be healthy. If you didn't have a high muscle content, I think you would be a little of the heavy side, but don't stress it. Try eating healthier foods gradually and adding appropriate exercise (body weight exercise to tone muscles, aerobic exercise to burn fact, stretching to go with it). And it also really helps to keep a record of your progress in diet changes and exercise. Hope this helps! Wink
