is it true that if you are over weight the birth control pills are not as effective? i'm about 5ft 4 and weigh 145...i could stand to loose a few pounds but should i be concerned about my pills not being as effective as they should? i'm on a low dosage pill YAZ...also no one replied about the birth control and heat topic...if your pills are exposed to heat does it make them less effective?..ex: leaving them in the car for a few hours....thanks for the replys

ive never heard anything about someones size effecting how well the pill works. that sounds kinda crazy to me actually. i would think they would work for everyone. and as far as leaving them in your car in the heat, i dont really kmnow much. i would just keep them in my purse so they go where i go.

I have never heard that either....at 5'4 145 isnt extremely overweight either. I think that if this is true it would be directed towards people who are obese.
