Is Bleeding After a (5wks)total Hysterectomy Normal? Posted: 07-08-07 13:36pm
Everyone has been giving their advice on
how to take it easy during my recovery and
I have been trying not to do much, but
some things have to be done that a mother
just has to do that I hoped I still did
within moderation of my health. I noticed
some spotting pink color one day then
later that night I felt a sort of gush and
I went to check and it was red blood like
during my cycle, but not pouring but
enough to fill a pantyliner
I change and put my feet up for the rest
of the day staying off my feet only to use
the restroom and it seem to slow down and
then stop for now
should I be worried and report it to my
doctor at my 6 wk check up? Could it mean
I ruptured something?

1st of all, welcome to ehealth. I know how
difficult it is not to stay down after
surgery also, Yes, let the dr know at your
6 week check-up that you did experience
some bleeding and if it starts up again
and if the pain gets worse I would call
the dr. Good Luck! I hope things get
better for you!

I plan to inform the doctor of the
bleeding at my check up no doubt. But
until the appt. My question still is it
normal to have the bleeding? Has anyone
experienced this and the soreness like you
had when you first came home, if so what
did you do? I am just wondering should I
be more concerned. Did I bust open the
inside or something? I am just hoping
someone has experienced this or understand
my fear. Thank you to everyone who
responded. I appreciate your feedback a
great deal. It really helps.
