Hey all i am 14, And there are a number of things i can not do, Spell,Maths and Time, Yes this may sound funny but it's true here is a lil story,

When i first started school i was ok, but when i was in P2 It started to be hell, I could not learn anything, Could not do any maths, are spelling, are anything, only reading,(thank god i can read) in P3, Same thing, Yet no Teachers know i have Dyslexia, P4 Same again no help what so ever, P5 i started to get better, but spelling was still very bad, and even learning spellings i found hard, P6 Teachers agree now that i have Dyslexia, And i start geting help.

So as you can see i have lost 5 years of learning because of teachers, Now im in high school, and im geting on btter, better marks in test's, better reading, a lil better at maths, But spelling, im still very bad at it.

I find it upseting that i can't spell because people think im from some were else.

So, do any of you guys know any sort of things that will help me with my spelling, And BTW i do Lission in class, i don't do anything bad in school Evil or Very Mad

Hi Dude

You keep up the learning, and take your time ..... the more you practice using words and spelling, the easier it gets ... try not to let the other kids bring you down, maths is difficult at the best of times, but if you take your time over the problem, the solution looks a bit clearer. When I was 8, my teacher gave me extra tuition, as she couldn't read my writing. I now am nearly 40 years old and love doing calligraphy when I get the cahnce, it's beautifal writing, which is like an art, how about you try it ..... and maths, well I'm so glad they invented a calculator Laughing
All will work out, but you must keep trying and positive.
Keep smiling little friend

please?
Hey (=
Not to be pushy or anything, but would you mind me interviewing you by, like, asking you a few questions about dyslexia? I'm doing a project on dyslexia for school, and it would be great if i got an interview. You don't have to, but I was just wondering.
Please?(:

Hi!
I suggest you go and see an educational psychologist.
I'm dyscalculic (which is on the dyslexic spectrum) which means I have extreme problems with maths, and dealing with numbers. I was put down by teachers for being bad at maths and not paying attention.
You sound like you could possibly be dyscalculic.
Is it any particular aspect of maths you have problems with? Or is it just all maths in general?
Don't panic, loads of people have problems with maths and loads of people are dyslexic so don't worry too much.
Good luck!

MCHugh, I've had Dyslexia all my life. Peat and Repeat reading, math, spelling. You can get a blue transparence or blue or pink tented glasses. It's easier to read. When I was in my 30's I found someone who doesn't mind me asking any questions without feeling bad about myself. also fish oils or dha omegas are good for the brain, and brain nutritients help., for teens and adults.

Ive got dyslexia. or so ive been told... and if im honest ive found that although dyslexia seems to be a bit of a downside its actually an upside. there are no people on earth that can possibly be as creative and as inventive as we are when we are trying to find a way round it. i.e. ive got a memory like a goldfish and my handwriting is terrible. all i need do is record my lessons and then write everything else on a laptop.
