Q: Lip Swelling

I have been having a problem with swelling in the left part of my upper lip. I have had it 4 times now in about 2 months. It swells up suddenly and stays swollen for most of the day. I can't find anything related in each of the cases as far as eating something the same or being in the same place. I have tried taking antihisatamines and they don't help. It ussually stays swollen for 6-10 hours. Like I said it is only on the left side of my upper lip. I haven't seen a Dr. about it yet because it comes and goes so infreqently. Any suggestions on what it could be or something to make it go away would be helpful. Thanks!!
