Q: Does This Sound Familiar to Anyone

I'm posting this is several places because it could be several things- lupus pops up more than anything though. Could anybody tell me if this sounds at all familiar to them? Here's whats happening: I had a baby almost four months ago now. Before that I was fine( except for being constantly pregnant most of the last three years)now here's my list of symptoms: itching for no reason -especially my hands and feet, the worst spot is the space between my thumb and forefinger- i've scratched until it bled. I'm always in pain. Muscle, joint, and bones. It's everywhere- never at once. It just kinda makes it's way around- but my hands are the worst. They ache constantly. I've had a low grade fever(mid 99's) for three months. I'm bruising way too easily( i'm fairly dark skinned- this is not normal for me, and i've been taking a pre-natal for years now- I shouldn't be deficient in anything). Very recently petechea have also started popping up- nothing dramatic, but i'm young, and have always been healthy- it is unusual. I'm still waiting on blood work to see if I am actually anemic. My skin hurts badly. It burns, feels bruised, tender to the touch, feels stiff- again not everywhere at once, and it comes and goes- worst on my hands, and forearms( which are also regularly covered in a small fine rash that comes and goes.) this is honestly the first rash i've had since I had the chicken pox when I was 2. I have electrical shock like pains all over but has diminished somewhat lately. My hair is falling out( this is more then hormonal). Severe back pain, and an incredibly stiff neck and shoulders. All sorts of skin spots. Little red spots on my hands, patches of dry skin on my shoulders, red purple splotches on my feet that come and go, again nothing dramatic, but still unusual. Muscle exhaustion- my arms and legs feel heavy all the time and fall asleep very easily. Crampy stomach- no vomiting though. Horrible headaches- they come on super strong, sometimes feel just immense pressure, sometimes like ice-picks, but only last for seconds several times a day. My eyes hurt, ache, and are always mildly bloodshot( I get plenty of sleep). Constant muscle spasms, and cramps- one charlie horse lasted the entire day. I have a swollen spot on one foot right below the ankle- for no reason, and just recently have been having a lot og pain in my pelvis as well. Theres other little things, and better ways of explaining these but thats a start. Could anybody tell me if this sounds at all familiar to them. I've had a clear head mri, a clear chest x-ray. Trust me on this-it would be impossible to have an std, bloodwork on thyroid, lymes, and any virus you can think of all came back clear. Rheumatoid factor was borderline, but there was no inflammation( as of a month ago). I know this is long, but any feedback would be appreciated.

I can relate
The rash is crazy and no particular pattern. Started on the top of my feet years ago and now is on both breasts (under the bra) Itches like crazy. Burning skin - even to touch and varies from place to place. I scratch sometimes til I bleed and it goes away at the breast and then comes on my butt cheeks for a few days and then subsides and shows up in my trunk area along the mid back. My ana has always been normal and some of my other labs are funky and the derm says it's classic tumid lupus. I have had joint pain for years and been diagnosed w/ osteoarthritis but my rheum said since my mom had rheum arthritis he thought I might eventually show positive for the RA--still not yet just the skin biopsies that show the tumid lupus. I don't have alot of fatigue yet-at least not more than usual for a full time working mom. Just started plaquinal and nervous about all the side affects. I sympathize with you -- I heard that EMU oil works for the rash and I'm goning to go out and get some to try. I've used the prescription strength cortisone creams and they don't do anything. Ice on the rash helps alot but difficult to use in public or at work.
Hope this helps and let me know if you come up with any holistic information.
Thanks. god bless and Good luck.

Have you guys been checked for dermatomyositis? Read up on it and see if it fits your symptoms. Good luck.

Lyme tests are at best 46% sensitive. This means that it is very possible that you can have Lyme disease and still test negative.

For a test to be considered "accurate" it needs a sensitivity level of over 95% and yet with a miserable level of 46%, doctors are still allowed to use the Lyme testing and rule out Lyme Disease using it.

Because of the faulty testing the only way to rule out Lyme is to see a Lyme specialist. The tests just are not accurate enough to rule it out.
