Q: Birth Control Pills and Heat

I carry my birth control with me in my purse, and I was wondering is it a good idea to keep it in my purse with the weather being super hot over here on the west coast. Or should I just take the one I need for the day out and leave the rest at home. They say that the heat can alter the chemicals in the pills. Just curious....

You can carry them with you in a purse, so long as it is not left in a car, or outside for too long.

i didn't know leaving my pills in the car could alter them...this makes them less effective? i'm a waitress and i left my bag in my car through the day, the pills were in my car in my purse but covered and left in the shade..should i be freaking out about anything...??
