I just have some questions.. I am 23yrs old and had my first pap smear.. and yes, it came back abnormal. And I was told I have high risk HPV.
So on tuesday, I went in for a colposcopy. It didn't hurt or anything, just kind of embarrasing and nerve racking.
My question is that they took 5 biopsy's.. Is this normal? I have talked with friends and they have stated that they had 1 or two samples taken. One of my friends who actually had cervical cancer only had three samples taken. Does that matter?
The one @ "six o'clock" (the dr was noting the location) she said looked bad and she was going to take first. She said it would hurt the most.. it didn't but when she used the word bad, it just freaked me out.
