Q: Fed Up And Frustrated

I have a fussy 1 year old with issues and my 5 year old has decided that she will be contrary to everything I say right now. She is also so about daddy right now, and whenever she asks me something and I say no she goes into the whole..."Daddy said..." I know these are normal behaviors, but that doesn't make it any easier for me to deal with right now. I have this deep fear in the back of my head that we are growing apart! I am tired. I have a short fuse. It's hot outside. I have pms. I need a calgon moment! Plus we have had non-stop family visiting since summer started. I think I'm getting depressed between all the fussiness and stress and the fact that .Hannah has a fractured skull and all of the guilt that somes along with that. Embarassed I just feel like i am at the end of my ropes. Thanks for listening.

Wow. It sounds like you have a full plate!!

A calgon moment sounds pretty good! Can you have some of the family that has been staying with you maybe watch the little ones for a little while so you can take a nap or a bath or buy something pretty?

I wish I could offer some great advice. But, I can't, sorry. I can tell you that I hope it gets smoother soon. (i'm sure the pms isn't helping)

Um...fractured skull? Is she ok?

she's OK, no issues with her brains. I posted under "sick baby" and there is a lovely picture of her CT scan. I don't really know how it happened, but the best we can tell is that it was at her babsitter's house. None of us really thought it was that severe,as she had no symptoms of a head injury at all. She has just been sooooo fussy, but I never really know with her-she's fussy a lot!

Thanks for the kind words. I actually asked Darren's parents to sit with the children so we could go have dinner, but they wouldn't. Oh well.

I just feel like i am constantly bracing for the next thing to happen. It feels like ocean waves of misfortune. Today I found out that even though i cancelled my health insurance, they "didn't have time" to cancel the automatic withdrawl from my checking account, so I am about 600 bucks overdrawn since there were 2 premiums taken out this month instead of one, and *surprise* my mortgage is due. Ugh. Rolling Eyes

Anyway, I am sure it will get better....
